God’s Pill For Today.

Text: Psalm 55:1-16
Key Verse: “As for me,I will call upon God; and the LORD shall save me.” (Psalm 55:16)
Man, generally, is prone to calling upon his fellow man in times of the troubles for help. He is quick to forget his Creator, God, and looks to man for solutions since that is the one he readily sees, knows and relates with. But the Psalmist, in our Key Verse, says as for him, he would call upon God.
The idea of calling upon God in times of trouble is not a common practice with men and women of today. No wonder, many have been badly disappointed, heart broken, and some died untimely, for failure to walk in the footsteps of Psamist. May you not be the next!
Our text today reveals the numerous challenges the Psalmist was facing – hatred and threats from enemies, oppression from the wicked, heartache, fear, trembling, horror and even reproach. The heat was so much that he sought for opportunities to flee like a dove away from troubles. That wouldn’t have solved the problem.
Do not run away from whatever challenge you may presently be facing. You will surely overcome!
The problem he was having was beyond man’s ability to help. It was too big for any man to solve. So, he decided to call upon God, the Solution Giver.
Call upon God in that difficult situation. You will be glad you did. Put your trust in Him. And, call upon Him alone. He will surely deliver you.
Food For Thought: Calling upon God is bringing your worries to an end.
