God Knows About Your Affliction

DAILY SOUL’S NOURISHMENT DEVOTIONAL BY PASTOR JULIUS U. BETHEL, PASTOR BIBLE PRACTISING CHURCH

WEDNESDAY 26TH JUNE 2024

BIBLE REFERENCE: PSALM 139:1-4

1. O Lord, thou hast searched me, and known me.

2. Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off.

3. Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways.

4. For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O Lord, thou knowest it altogether.

THE MESSAGE: Our God Whom we serve is an Omniscient God. He knows everything at the same time. He doesn’t need to be told about anything before He becomes aware of it. He already knows about it even before it happens. If you know that attribute of God and understand it very well, you will be peaceful in whatever situation or circumstance you find yourself. The storms of life will no longer make you restless or sleepless.

Nothing is happening in your life, family or business right now that God does not know about. He knows about the pains, sufferings, loss, hardship, disappointments, et cetera.

He could have stopped the problem with His infinite power, for He is the Almighty, but He decided in His infinite wisdom to allow it. He knows it will all turn out for good eventually (Roman 8:28). Though now, you may not understand. Just be peaceful! Wipe away your tears, the good the Lord has in it for you will come to pass.

Maintain an attitude of faith, prayer and praise in it all. You will come out triumphant, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT: Why worry when you can pray?

PRAYER POINT: Ask the Holy Ghost our Comforter to comfort you.
