UNWAVERING FAITH IN TIMES OF DIFFICULTY

Daily Soul’s Nourishment Devotional By Pastor Julius Bethel, Pastor Of Bible Practising Ministry.

Scripture Reference:
James 1:5-8
“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.”

God is the God of faith. He honours faith, increases faith and gives faith. Faith moves Him to action. He blesses and works miracles and wonders in the lives of His children through their faith.

In fact, without faith, it is impossible to please God(Hebrews 11:6). So, you must keep faith alive even in times of difficulty.

Most people find it easy to believe God when things are rosy, rosy. When they are not having any challenge, they can claim to have all the faith in the world. But when difficulty arises in their lives, their so-called “great faith”, fizzles out into thin air.

Child of God, do not let your faith shake or waver in times of difficulty. Hold on firmly, by faith, to the promises of God for your life. God cannot and will not lie. He will surely deliver, if you continue to put your trust in Him.

Guard against doubts. Guard against unbelief. Both are enemies of faith. Reject them firmly from taking any space in your heart. Then, you will see the difficulty rolled away before
your very eyes, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Food For Thought:
A matured faith thrives well in times of difficulty.

Prayer Point: Pray that your faith will get stronger in times of difficulty and that God should honour it for His glory.
