When the King is not in Your Life

Daily Soul’s Nourishment Devotional By Pastor Julius U. Bethel

In those days there was no king in Israel: every man did that which was right in his own eyes.

THE MESSAGE There was a time in the history of the Israelites when they had no king. During that period, every Israelite became a law unto themselves. They did whatever was right in their own sight. However, that time became one of the worst in their history.

Today, some people do not have the King of kings in their lives. They are living by their own decree. Whatever is right in their eyes, they do. Wherever they want to go, they go. They dress as they like, talk carelessly, and behave as they please. There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death (Proverbs14:12)

God is King on earth. He also wants to be King in your life. Allow Him; it is for your own good. But what happens when the King is not in your life?

First, you will be missing out on the rights and privileges of the Kingdom that you are supposed to enjoy. Your life will be heading in the wrong direction because the King provides direction. Additionally, it allows the devil and his demons to afflict and attack you because you are not secured by the King. Lastly, you will lack the spiritual authority that comes from being under His authority. These are just a few of the many issues you will face.

This morning is not too late to make the King your King. Do that now.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT: When the King is your King, your reign is quaranteed!

PRAYER POINT: Pray that God will give you the grace to submit to His Kingship.
