What The World Calls Love Is Not What The Church Calls It. That is nothing but the truth because the Church and the world do not have the same, lifestyls, beliefs, ways, viewpoints, thoughts, values, and so on.
By “the Church” I mean the Body of saved and sanctified Christians worldwide.
The world does not know true love and cannot manifest it because it does not know God, who Himself, is love.
“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends”(John 15:13). The world actually has no love but the Church.
The world over, marks what is called ‘Valentine’s Day,” otherwise known as, “Lovers Day.”
They say it is a day to “express” love for and to each other. But to the Church, love is to be demonstrated on daily basis.
How different the world is from the Church!
What is love to the world?
To the world, love is:
*Taking their lover to a hotel, restaurant, fast food joints and feeding him/her.
*Going for a party to eat, dance and have fun with their lover.
*Snapping pictures together with their lover with different poses.
*Pegging, kissing and hugging their lover.
*Exchanging pictures of each other’s nakedness. Or, seeing each other’s nakedness in real life.
*Sleeping on the bed with each other
*Buying special gifts from a boutique or a supermarket.
*Holding hands and walking together.
*Dressing seductively in order to look “great” or sexy in the eyes of their lovers.
*Having sex and defiling each others.
This is LUST and not LOVE. Woe to the world!,What a shame! What a pity!
But to the Church, love is:
*Praying and sometimes, fasting for the one you love.
*Encouraging the one you love to walk in holiness, righteousness and truth.
*Helping the one you love to become a better christian.
*Rebuking the one you love so as to become sound in holiness, if he/she errs.
*To bear the burdens of the one you love in the time of need.
*Doing or saying NOTHING defiling to the one you love.
*Helping one another to serve God more and better.
*Promoting true happiness and joy in the life of the one you love.
THIS IS LOVE, INDEED!
The world doesn’t and cannot have this kind of love, and therefore, cannot give it! It is ONLY in Christ that such love can be found.
ACCEPT JESUS TODAY and be made FREE FROM LUST!
My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth”(1 John 3:18).
Remember, true love does not condone sin!
